		<description>I agree with the ideas expressed in this post.  Particularly that policies and guidelines need to be expressed in advance and not as a knee jerk reaction  to some real or perceived emergency.

It is important that the organisations polices or guidelines on engagement with these tools/sites reflects their broader policies. That simple sanity check may prevent un-enforceable policies. If you wouldn&#039;t try to ban employees from using Amazon at lunchtime then why would you ban them from accessing Facebook at lunchtime?</description>
