Background:
I am focused on how technology opens new possibilities for social transformation and innovation within business. I am Senior Vice President of Digital Strategies and Futures for Fleishman Hillard. I blog here, on O’Reilly Radar, and write a column for Forbes.com.
I deliver strategic consulting, competitive planning, speaking and hands-on innovation labs to help good companies get to the future first. I have been a guest lecturer at Harvard University and have spoken at conferences related to technology and digital strategy around the world. Key clients include Philips, Best Buy, AT&T, Visa, Autodesk, and Polycom. My writings have appeared on Forbes.com, Social Computing Magazine and Fast Forward and I have had some serendipitous encounter with television (NBC Press Here TV and CBS Evening News). I also created, and am still actively working on, the Future at Work series of video interviews with O’Reilly Media and Social Sense and Sensibility, a video series with Forbes exploring business etiquette in the age of social networks.
I hold a degree with honors in Chinese Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz
